A city built around laboratories
Hefei is one of China’s comprehensive national science centres. The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the CAS Hefei Institutes of Physical Science are based here, with the EAST tokamak, the Steady High Magnetic Field Facility, the Hefei Light Source synchrotron and the Institute of Solid State Physics. USTC’s quantum group is the one behind Micius and Jiuzhang.

42CrMo, alloy structural steel and tool steel are selected for the duty, with wear-face hardness and heat-treatment routes agreed part by part.

Anhui’s steel and non-ferrous belt runs from Ma’anshan and Tongling to Hefei and the Yangtze. The mills, casting and forging shops, heat-treatment lines and precision machining suppliers sit within a few hours of our workshop — a short chain from billet to finished guide.
Steel and rolling
Bar, wire rod and section mills in the province supply the billets and bars that guides are built to handle.
Castings and forgings
Blanks are produced to the material specification agreed for the part, not to a generic stock grade.
Heat treatment
Hardening and tempering follow the process requirement for that guide, with hardness verified on the wear face.
Inspection
Dimensional checks, hardness records and material certificates travel with the goods.
Why a guide is a Hefei product
Hefei Senno has focused on medium-to-high-end rolling mill guides since 2015: roller entry and exit guides, twist guides, slit guides, guide boxes and wear parts. We supply steel mills directly, not through traders — the engineers who approve the drawing are the people you talk to.
The workshop covers more than 8,000 m², with 100+ staff including 5 senior engineers and 15 QC inspectors. Critical fits are held to ±0.02 mm, wear faces to HRC 58–62, and more than 50 machine tools run CNC turning, milling and grinding in house. ISO 9001 is the baseline, not the sales line.
