Frequently asked questions

The six questions purchasing engineers ask most. Anything else — send the drawing and ask.

What do you need to quote a rolling mill guide?

A drawing, part number, mill type and stand number, or a photo with a few key dimensions. An engineer replies with a price and lead time within one working day.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ is confirmed per drawing and batch. Trial orders and single replacement parts are accepted; urgent breakdown parts are prioritised.

Which materials and hardness do you supply?

42CrMo, alloy and tool steel selected for the duty, heat treated to HRC 58–62. Critical locating faces are held to ±0.02 mm and checked on a CMM.

How long is the lead time?

About 15 days for standard guides after drawing approval. Breakdown and urgent parts are scheduled first; exact timing is confirmed with the quotation.

Can you make a guide from a sample or OEM number?

Yes. We reverse-engineer the part, send the drawing for approval, and manufacture only after you sign it off.

Do you ship worldwide, and what documents are included?

Yes — export packing and air/sea freight to most steel-producing regions. Shipments include the approved drawing, material certificate, inspection record and packing list.
